Most outdoor showers need plumbing, a pole, or someone holding a hose. StepFlow sits flat on the ground and turns on the moment you step onto it. Water jets up from the platform to rinse sand, grass, mud and chlorine off your feet and legs. Step off and it shuts off by itself. There's nothing to plug in, charge or remember to turn off, so the mess stays outside where it belongs.

Place StepFlow on a flat, stable surface (patio, deck, lawn or pool edge).

Screw a standard garden hose into the inlet and turn the supply on.

Step on to rinse, step off to stop. The valve holds the water back until your weight opens it.

When you're done, turn off the hose and disconnect. It's light enough to move between the beach house, the garden and the campsite.

How it works

Your weight opens the valve.

Beneath the platform sits a pressure-activated valve. Stand on it and it opens, sending water up through the surface jets. Step off and it closes on its own, even with the hose still running.

Good to know.

Does it need electricity or batteries?

No. StepFlow is fully mechanical. Your body weight opens the valve and stepping off closes it. There's nothing to charge, plug in or wire up.

What do I need to use it?

Just a standard garden hose and an outdoor tap. Connect, turn the supply on and step on.

Is it for a full shower?

StepFlow is designed to rinse your feet and lower legs from below. It's perfect for sand, grass, mud and chlorine, which is exactly the mess that ends up inside.

Can the water be warm?

StepFlow delivers whatever your hose supplies. On sunny days, hose water that's been sitting in the sun comes out warm. If your outdoor tap has hot water, connect to that.

Will it waste water?

No. It only runs while someone is standing on it and closes the moment you step off, so there's no forgotten tap and no running hose.

What about winter?

Disconnect the hose, let it drain, and store it somewhere dry and frost-free until beach season returns.
